Economic sectors
With a strong rural character, the region of Bessin au Virois has a definate presence of farming activity despite the general decline noted regionally. In terms of organisations agriculture represents the second sector of activities after sevices.
Industry in the territory equally has a strong link to agriculture. In fact food processing with it's influential products is the most important industrial sector but there are other activites also present such as mechanical , metal working, sub contracting, motor industry, clothing , electrical materials and construction materials
Services are developing everywhere in the region and represents the main sector of activities in terms of employment ans organisations. Services are essentially transport, hotels, restaurants, services of companies and private services .
The sectors creating jobs are construction which is booming and commerce which is maintained with hypermarkets , fishing , selling and repairing cars.
